Six people killed in Sauk County airplane crash

Six people died after a plane crash just southwest of Lake Delton Tuesday night, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash happened at around 9:30 p.m. near Park Lane in the Town of Dellona. Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister confirmed the aircraft was a six-passenger plane and all people aboard died. The victims were five adults and one child. They were flying a return trip from Kenosha to Menomonie, and the plane was in contact with a nearby air traffic control tower before the crash. The sheriff’s office notified the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the crash, and those agencies will assist in the investigation. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
