Green County is revising its election-night reporting process for November after a server issue delayed the release of the primary-election results. The county clerk’s office said it discovered about 9 p.m. Tuesday that its server and election reporting system were not communicating properly. Staff members worked with municipal clerks to collect and upload results manually. The delay did not affect the election or any votes cast. The county is already planning for the November election and will change how municipalities provide results on election night. Municipalities will have the option to bring their election-result cards directly to the county clerk’s office or call in their results, rather than relying on the modem-transfer process. The change is intended to help the county release results more quickly.
