Lancaster police asks people to stop putting stickers on gas pumps

The Lancaster Police Department is asking people to stop participating in a growing trend. In a social media post the Lancaster Police Department asked people to stop placing stickers on gas pumps because, some stickers can be difficult to remove and may damage the screens or surfaces of the pumps because of the adhesive used. Additionally, when stickers are placed on gas pumps gas stations may be fined by their fuel suppliers for having them on their equipment. Those fines and repair costs can ultimately become an expense for local business owners.
