Over 200 measles cases have been confirmed in southwest Wisconsin as part of this summer’s outbreak, the Iowa County Health Department said Tuesday. Grant, Iowa, Lafayette and Vernon Counties together have reported 202 confirmed cases and six probable cases as of Tuesday. There were 86 confirmed or probable cases reported in Lafayette County, 74 confirmed in Iowa County and 44 confirmed in Grant County. In northern Wisconsin, there were three cases confirmed in Marathon County and one case confirmed in Chippewa County, bringing the statewide total to 214 cases this year. State health officials said the cases in northern Wisconsin were tied to out-of-state travel and not related to the cases in southwest Wisconsin.
