Long Investigation Yields Five Drug Arrests

Officials with the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force report a total of 5 Grant County residents have been arrested in the last month as part of a lengthy drug investigation. The first two arrested were 35-year-old Melissa Carroll and 30-year-old Brandon Loken, both of Platteville, who were arrested in early February. They both face multiple charges that include delivery of meth and possession of heroin. February 19^th, Drug Task Force officers arrested 36-year-old Justin Taylor of Lancaster. He faces multiple charges related to possession of meth and possession of heroin. And two others from Platteville – Joseph and Nicholas Forbes – were both arrested last week for possession of heroin and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Authorities continue to investigate leads that help stop the distribution of narcotics in the tri-state area.
