A flood warning is in effect for the Mississippi River in the tri-state area. The river is projected to rise above the flood stage of 16-feet in Prairie du Chien Wednesday morning. The Mississippi River at Guttenberg is forecast to go over the flood stage of 15-feet late Wednesday. And the river at the Dubuque Railroad Bridge will rise past the flood stage of 17-feet by late Wednesday. The Mississippi River at Dubuque is projected to go above 18-feet by late Friday – when the river hits 18-feet, water will reach the bottom of the East Dubuque Flats levee.
