A Bloomington man is dead following a crash between Lancaster and Potosi early Wednesday. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year-old James Hendrickson was ejected from his pick-up and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say Hendrickson was traveling east along Abing Road about 6:30 a.m. when he drove through the intersection with Highway 35-61. Hendrickson’s pick-up hit the passenger side of a south-bound semi being driven by 54-year-old Brian Cathman of Lancaster. Cathman was not injured in the crash. Officials believe dense fog was a factor in the crash. That section of Highway 35-61 was closed for several hours on Wednesday. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says the crash remains under investigation.
