The Hunger Task Force is committing a million dollars to buy thousands of gallons of milk from dairy farmers to stop it from being dumped. Dairy farmers were told to dump the product earlier this month when demand had fallen off due to the coronavirus pandemic. The milk will be handed over to free and local partner food banks and food pantries through the Hunger Relief Federation.
