A Belmont-area man is facing drug charges following an investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies. Lafayette County Sheriff’s officials say 61-year-old Theodore Charles Kieler was arrested Thursday morning after authorities executed a search warrant at his trailer in Evergreen Village Mobile Home Park in Belmont Township. According to a sheriff’s report, Kieler faces charges of manufacturing and delivering meth, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of meth paraphernalia, and obstructing an officer. He remains in custody pending an appearance in Lafayette County Circuit Court.
Another person at the home, 49-year-old Susan Redfearn, was detained and later released. Officials say that she is being referred to the Iowa County District Attorney’s office for bail jumping charges. Assisting the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office were members of the Green County Sheriff’s Office and the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force.
