Woman Throws Steak Knife at Ex-Boyfriend

Dubuque Police say traffic camera footage shows a woman throwing a knife at a man during a disturbance in Dubuque. 23 year old Chyna Nelson of 37 Dubuque was arrested around 9:15 p.m. Sunday at her residence on a charge of domestic assault while displaying a weapon. A report says that police originally responded at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday to Nelson’s residence for a report of a disturbance. After taking statements from Nelson and her ex-boyfriend, 28 year old Austin Jones, police reviewed traffic camera footage from the area. Footage shows Jones running out of the front door of the residence at 6:52 p.m., with Nelson emerging from the front doorway and throwing a kitchen steak knife at him. Jones ducked, and the knife landed in the street. Jones then picked up the knife and tossed it into the grass.
