The University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Thursday formally recognized the leadership of its newest chancellor, Dr. Tammy Evetovich, the first woman to hold the role and a first-generation college student who already has led the college through tough waters, beginning with the COVID-19 Pandemic. In an investiture, Dr. Evetovich was given UW-P’s chancellor’s medallion with a lot of hope in the air. Evetovich was named UW-P’s 15th chancellor just under a year ago — on April 25, 2023 — after leading the school on an interim basis for several months. Evetovich spoke Thursday of including her drive for wellness and success for students and residents of rural Wisconsin in her new role.
