Solar Eclipse Happens Today

The total solar eclipse on Monday is a rare phenomenon that won’t occur in the contiguous U.S. for another 20 years. But, parts of the U.S. will see one today. Southern Wisconsin, Eastern Iowa, and Northwest Illinois is not in the direct path of the total eclipse. However, we will be able to see a partial eclipse. We will see about 87% of the eclipse. The start time for the eclipse in the area is 12:51 p.m. with a maximum visibility at 2:06 p.m. The eclipse will be over by 3:19 p.m.
