The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman and teenager were found dead Wednesday night, and a person of interest traveled to Wisconsin to get away. According to a news release from Sheriff Joe Kennedy, authorities responded to a home in the town of La Motte just after 7 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive person. When they arrived, they found a woman dead. An investigation shows the death was the result of foul play. Investigators later learned the victim had two children, one approximately 13 years old and the other 5 months old. They were not located at the home. A person of interest in the case was involved in a vehicle pursuit in Dane County in Wisconsin. During the pursuit the vehicle was disabled and the people inside ran away. The missing 13-year-old was found dead of “unknown causes.” The 5-month-old was turned over to a random home in Wisconsin before the pursuit. More information will be released later today.
