The Universities of Wisconsin has released the results of a third-party consultant review of individual campus finances. President Jay Rothman notes there are common themes in all the reports, including retention rates being lower than pre-pandemic levels, operating expenses per student being higher due to declining enrollment, aging facilities and maintenance backlogs remaining a concern, and salaries for faculty and staff often not being competitive.
