Platteville candidate fills Grant County Seat

A write in candidate from Platteville has been named to fill the District-13 Seat on the Grant County Board of Supervisors.  Kelly Fredrickson will represent Wards 7 and 8 in the City of Platteville.  There were not any candidates for the seat in the recent election.  A decision was made to take every write in name submitted on election day and determine who was living in the district.  There were 11 votes in total and three (3) including “Bugs Bunny” were not eligible.  The Board of Canvass wrote each name down that was determined in the District and drew out of a hat. Kelly Fredrickson was the first name drawn, he was contacted by certified mail and reached out to the county clerk expressing interest.
