Project leaders have begun construction on a key portion of an $83 million renovation project at Q Casino in Dubuque. Casino leaders, elected officials and area residents alike gathered Tuesday at Q Casino + Resort for a ceremonial groundbreaking on what will become a seven-story boutique hotel tower adjacent to the casino. Around 150 people attended the celebration, where updated floor plans and branding were announced for the hotel. The hotel will be named The Key Hotel and will include 90 guest rooms, as well as a rooftop restaurant and bar, and is expected to open in the fall of 2025.
