Lafayette County Judge Passed Away

Lafayette County Circuit Court Judge Duane M. Jorgenson has passed away at the age of 73.  Judge Jorgenson died Sunday, April 21st after battling cancer.  He was elected Lafayette County Circuit Judge in 2015.  Prior to that, he served for 21 years as a Corporation Council for Human Services.  In 1991, he founded the Jorgenson Law Office.  He previously also ran a supper club, worked for a newspaper and was a dairy farmer until 1993.  A funeral service will be held at Wiota Lutheran Church, South Wayne, on Friday  at 11:00 A.M.  Judge Jorgenson is survived by his wife, four children and ten grandchildren.
