A 46-year-old Dubuque man made his first appearance in Grant County Circuit Court for a burglary that happened 20 years ago. Robert Roling is charged with two counts of felony theft of movable property, one count burglary of a building, one count of criminal damage to property, and misdemeanor theft. The charges were filed in connection with a May 30, 2004 break-in at the former Roh’s Auto Mart. Charges were filed after a DNA match from the Wisconsin State Crime Lan last October with blood left at the crime scene. Roling faces up to 12 years in prison and a $25,000 fine on the burglary charge and six years in prison with a $10,000 fine on the felony theft charges.
