A not guilty plea has been entered in circuit court on behalf of Cole D. Syvrud, the Argyle man charged with homicide in the parking-lot death of a Colony Brands employee in Monroe last February. Authorities said the truck Syvrud was driving was backing up in a parking lot in Feb. when he struck a 28-year-old Carmen E. Hale, of Monroe. If convicted, Syvrud faces a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in state prison. Syvrud’s next scheduled court appearance in June 4 in Green County Circuit Court. He has been free on a $5,000 signature bond.
