Minor injuries reported in car vs buggy accident

On Sunday just before 6 AM, Lafayette County Deputies responded to Highway 81 in Seymour Township for a vehicle versus buggy accident. 26-year-old Jalen C Phillips of Lena, IL was traveling eastbound on highway 81 in his vehicle when he struck the left rear corner of the buggy. All occupants of the buggy, two adults and four children were ejected. They suffered only minor injuries. Two occupants were transported to Southwest Health in Platteville, where they were treated and released. The buggy sustained substantial damage. Phillips’ vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The two horses pulling the buggy were not injured.
