One injured after garbage truck crashes into a ditch

A man driving a garbage truck was transported to the hospital after crashing into a ditch just west of Boscobel last Monday. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting the crash on Highway 133 near River View Lane in Marion. 49-year-old Harvey Kansaku of rural Prairie du Chien, was driving a garbage truck owned by Republic Services. He was traveling west on the highway when he left the road to the right, entering the ditch. The truck continued to travel west through the ditch before hitting an embankment at a driveway. The Boscobel Police Department, along with the Boscobel Fire Department and EMS, responded to the scene. The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the crash.
