A Cassville man escaped injury after a rollover accident on Highway 151 in Belmont shortly after noon on Tuesday. 64 year old Daniel Schneider Sr. of Cassville was traveling south while operating a GMC pulling a Load Trail trailer that was hauling a skid loader. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, the hitch broke, causing Schneider to lose control of the vehicle, leave the roadway, strike an embankment, and roll over. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The Belmont Fire Department, Belmont EMS, and Belmont Police Department assisted at the scene.
