No injuries were reported after a semi hauling a load of corn tipped over just south of Lancaster about noon Tuesday. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says that 21-year-old Hugo Oeretl of North Dakota was driving south on Highway 35-61. As he went to turn onto Highway 81, he was going too fast and the semi-trailer tipped onto its passenger side. Officials closed the road for a period of time as the corn was off-loaded and the vehicle was tipped upright. Oeretl was issued a citation for failure to keep a vehicle under control. The Lancaster Fire Department along with Guy’s Truck and Tractor assisted at the scene.
