Deputies from the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force and Dickeyville Police department arrested two men from Dubuque Thursday at a motel in Dickeyville. The Deputies were aware that the men had arrest warrants out of the State of Iowa. 19 year old Tyler Asbell and 22 year old Fallon Murphy were in a vehicle in the parking lot. As the Deputies approached, the driver, Asbell, attempted to flee, ramming a drug task force vehicle with his vehicle. Officers subsequently took Asbell and Murphy into custody. Asbell was in possession of brass knuckles. Deputies searched the vehicle and motel room and found a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and other items of drug paraphernalia. A handgun was also found in the motel room. Asbell will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s office for charges relating to possessing with intent to deliver methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, plus several other charges. Both men were taken to the Grant County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Iowa.
