A long time member of the Darlington Police Department is resigning to accept a position as a Police Chief. Sgt. Tony Ruesga will be resigning his position with the Darlington Police Department to become the Police Chief in Cross Plains. The Cross Plains Village Board and Cross Plains Police Commission announced the hiring of Ruesga Monday night as Ruesga was sworn in as the next Police Chief. Ruesga has been with the Darlington Police Department for 20 years. His last day will be January 2nd.
