A judge has bound over a Madison man for trial on 10 felony charges related to fatally shooting a Dodgeville man last month. Authorities say 20-year-old Marcus Hamilton Jr. shot and killed 18-year-old Gunnar Holum of Dodgeville during a drug deal. Hamilton is facing charges that include reckless homicide, recklessly endangering safety and attempted armed robbery. Witnesses told police Hamilton pulled out a handgun during the deal on December 14th in Madison. Hamilton pistol-whipped a passenger, and then was pushed out of the car. Officers say Hamilton fired two shots as the car drove away, with a bullet hitting and killing Holum – who was driving at the time. A trial date has not been set.
