A woman from Iowa was arrested Sunday after getting into an altercation with an Iowa County deputy. At around 2:30 PM Sunday, an Iowa County Deputy performed a traffic stop near the intersection of US Highway 151 and County Road A in the Town of Mineral Point. As a result, 29 year old Kayla Acosta of Cedar Rapids was arrested for Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer, Resisting or Obstructing, Disorderly Conduct and Battery to Law Enforcement. She was taken to the Iowa County Jail in Dodgeville, booked on her charges, and remains pending a bond hearing.
