Detectives with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office are following up on tips related to the homicide of a 26-year-old man from Blue Mounds. The body of Nicholas Day was found off County Road JG January 15th. Detectives are looking for people in that area between noon and 1:30. The sheriff’s office has released descriptions of vehicles they’re looking for which were in the area January 15th. They include – a small silver 2-door vehicle that was southbound on JG near Stewart County Park at about 1:10… a red vehicle in the area between 12:50 and 1, going north on JG near Stewart County Park… and a full-size dark colored pick-up truck in the area between 12:30 and 1:30. Dane County Officials also are looking to identify two men who witnesses say were jogging in the area that day. Those with information should call 608 – 284 – 6900.
