A Prairie du Chien man faces drunk driving charges after rear-ending another vehicle in La Crosse. Police say 31-year-old Jarrett Hemmer was driving with a BAC nearly three times the legal limit on Sunday night. Hemmer has been charged in La Crosse County Circuit Court with 2nd-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing injury as well as 2nd-offense operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration causing injury. According to authorities, Hemmer smelled of intoxicants, failed several field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer test showed he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.23-percent. Police report that two women in the vehicle Hemmer hit suffered injuries. He was released on a $5-thousand dollar signature bond on Tuesday.
