Platteville Man Intoxicated While Driving With Toddler in Car

Police say a Platteville man drove drunk with a toddler in a car in Dubuque Saturday. Reports say 36 year old Julius Schaeffer of Platteville, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Dodge Street on charges of neglect of a dependent person, operating while intoxicated, probation violation and violation of a no-contact order. Reports say that Schaeffer was located in the vehicle with a 22-month-old child in the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle. Schaeffer tested positive for alcohol consumption.
