Two Vehicle Accident In South Wayne

A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to North Warren Street in the Village of South Wayne Thursday just after 8am for a minor two vehicle accident. 82 year old Barbara Saunders of Warren was traveling eastbound on Highway 11 in a 2005 Cadillac when she turned south onto North Warren Street failing to see 86 year old Rosann Markese of South Wayne traveling north on North Warren Street in her 2012 Ford. Saunders turned in front of Markese, causing an accident. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene with moderate damage.
