Fatal Crash in Sauk County

A man is dead after crashing into a bridge and rolling into water near the Town of La Valle. Deputies with the Sauk County Sheriff’s office say it happened around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday. They received a report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Trunk F and Warbler Court in the Town of La Valle, west of Reedsburg. The investigation shows that a pick-up truck was driving west on County Trunk F and hit a bridge. After it hit the bridge, the truck went into a body of water and became “partially submerged.” The driver was a 56-year-old male from Ironton, Wisconsin. He was the only person in the car. Deputies say he died at the scene. Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, LaValle Fire Department and First Responders and Reedsburg Area Ambulance Service responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
