Traffic Stop Results In Arrest of Darlington Man

A deputy with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to West Mound View Road in the Village of Belmont Monday night around 10:30pm to assist the Belmont Police Department with a traffic stop. 20 year old Edis Salgado-Diaz of Darlington was arrested for Operating without a Valid Drivers License–2nd offense and Obstructing an Officer. Salgado-Diaz was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released on a cash bond.
