Police said one person was injured Thursday in a rear-end crash in Dubuque. 57-year-old Kelly A. Kohl of Dubuque, reported pain after the crash but declined transport by ambulance to an area hospital, according to a crash report. The crash happened at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Central Avenue and 14th Street. The report states that 51-year-old John M. Healy of Dubuque, was traveling south on Central Avenue when he rear-ended Kohl’s vehicle. Healy told officers he was distracted by cleanup of an earlier crash near the same intersection, which caused him to strike Kohl, who was slowed in traffic in front of him, the report states. He was cited with failure to maintain control.
