A woman from Lafayette County was involved in a single vehicle crash Monday around 3:15pm. Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to Highway 11 in the Town of Monroe, for a single vehicle accident. An investigation found that a vehicle operated by 34 year old Marla Teresa Mosqueda, of South Wayne was westbound when she lost control due to the inclement weather. Mosqueda’s vehicle entered the North ditch, struck a culvert, struck a mailbox, and came to rest to the West of a nearby driveway. Mosqueda denied injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Mosqueda’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
