A grant will help support scholarships for a local college’s electro-mechanical technology program. The 3M Manufacturing and Academic Partnerships program awarded the $7,500 grant to Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. According to a press release, the college has received a $7,500 scholarship grants from 3M annually since 2018. The focus of the electro-mechanical technology program “is to provide a comprehensive education in mechatronics, a multidisciplinary field that combines mechanical and electronic engineering.” The program facilitates interaction between students and 3M employees, who serve as guest speakers.
