Multiple guns and collector coin sets were stolen from a man’s home while he was away at hospitals and care facilities, according to the Lancaster Police Department. The thefts were reported to police on Tuesday. Police say the homeowner, John G. Snider, had been away at hospitals and care facilities since Jan. 1. Snider returned home Tuesday in Grant County and found 14 guns, multiple collectors set of coins, and multiple coin jars missing/stolen. One firearm has been identified as a Charles Daly model 500 12 Gauge. Police say on Dec. 1, 2023, another person in the same neighborhood had coins stolen from their residence.
