The April 2nd ballot in Wisconsin will include 91 local school referendums in 85 districts. Overall, 42 of those referendums will ask for temporary authority to increase the district’s revenue limit while 19 will ask for permanent authority to increase the district’s revenue limit. There will also be 30 borrowing referendums where voters are being asked to approve major construction, remodeling or maintenance projects for school facilities. This year’s total of 91 is an increase from a year ago without counting the 10 referendum in 7 districts on the February ballot or those planned for November.
Area school districts with a referendum on the ballot in April include Barneveld, Cuba City, De Soto, Fennimore, Highland, Platteville, Potosi, River Valley, Richland Center, River Ridge and Southwestern.
