A motorcyclist was transported by medflight for life threatening injuries following a crash in Wingville Township late Saturday morning. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call that a person was yelling for help in a pasture along Route 66. 42-year-old Travis Mulrooney of Montfort, was riding ahis motorcycle on Route 66 when he failed to negotiate a curve, left a roadway, struck a tree, and drove through a barbed wire fence before coming to rest in a pasture. Mulrooney was transported by Montfort EMS to a landing zone in Montfort, where he was transferred to a medical helicopter and transported to UW Hospital in Madison, with life-threatening injures. Mulrooney was not wearing a helmet, and speed is believed to be a factor in this crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol is Handling the investigation.
