The bridge will be closed in both directions between Dubuque and East Dubuque, Ill., beginning Monday, July 6, weather permitting. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the closure is expected to last 30 days. The bridge will not reopen at any point during that time, including evenings and weekends. In early August the bridge will reopen with daytime closures to eastbound traffic through mid-September.
