Orville Peck has shared new details about the personal crisis that led him to cancel the remaining dates of his Bronco Tour in June 2023. In a recent interview, the country singer said he attempted suicide through an intentional overdose shortly before stepping away from the road.
Peck explained during the conversation that he had been struggling with addiction, alcohol use, and declining mental and physical health. He later entered rehabilitation and began working toward sobriety. The same period also included the end of a relationship, adding to what he described as one of the most difficult chapters of his life.
Those experiences now form the foundation of Peck’s fourth studio album, Mule. Scheduled for release on September 18, 2026, the record follows his journey through addiction, rehabilitation, sobriety, and rebuilding his life.
