Verona woman arrested for OWI and speeding

A Verona woman was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated in Iowa County Sunday morning after authorities said she was traveling over 100 mph. A sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 18/151 near mile marker 53 in the Town of Ridgeway at a high rate of speed at around 6:20 a.m. It was reported that the vehicle was going 109 mph. During the traffic stop, the woman was arrested for an OWI and given citations for operating while suspended and speeding.
