The Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Thursday confirmed more measles cases in Iowa and Lafayette counties. The DHS said the number of confirmed cases rose from two on Tuesday to 15 as of Thursday morning, and that there were also six probable cases. Data provided by the DHS shows that 23 measles cases have been confirmed in the state since the beginning of the year. About 60% of cases were confirmed in children younger than 18 years old, and all but one case was confirmed in people who were unvaccinated. DHS Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Westergaard

Symptoms of measles typically appear approximately 10 to 21 days after being exposed to the virus, and include: Runny nose, High fever, Tiredness, Cough and Red or watery eyes.
