Mineral Point man arrested in Lafayette County following disturbance in Iowa County

Late Wednesday morning the Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a domestic disturbance in the 4000 block of Wells Rd in Mineral Point. The suspect reportedly fled the scene but was later apprehended by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office after an attempt-to-locate (ATL) bulletin was issued. In the early evening hours 27-year-old John H. Wells of Mineral Point was arrested by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office who transferred custody to an Iowa County Sheriff’s deputy. Wells was arrested for Battery and Disorderly Conduct.
