The Grant County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday identified the construction worker who died after a fall last week. The incident occurred Friday morning on County Q in Highland. The victim was 44-year-old Joel Antonio Alverez Renderos of Darlington. Deputies responding to the scene learned that a construction crew was repairing the roof of a farm building. While crew members were on the roof, Alverez fell through it about 30 feet to the concrete floor below. First responders administered life-saving measures, but he died at the scene.
