Multiple arrested in Montfort on Wednesday following search warrant

Multiple people were arrested in Montfort on Wednesday following the execution of a search warrant. Wednesday morning deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the Southwest Wisconsin Emergency Response Team, and members of the Richland Iowa Grant Drug Task Force, assisted the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office with the execution of a search warrant at a residence on W. Main Street in Montfort. The search warrant was obtained for an ongoing investigation involving a juvenile victim from Iowa County who was under the age of 16. The juvenile reportedly received photographs of a sexual nature through social media from a male subject. As a result of the Iowa County Investigations Team’s investigation and the first warrant, 21-year-old Christian Jerrett was charged with Selling Harmful Material to a Child – Know Age. The Iowa County Investigation of this case is ongoing. Additional information will be released when appropriate. During law enforcement’s initial search, suspected illegal drugs were located inside the residence, which prompted a second warrant.  As a result of the execution of the second search warrant: 19-year-old Ashton Johnson of Montfort, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for maintaining a drug house, possession with intent to deliver THC, and bail jumping. 72-year-old Linda Johnson of Montfort, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail for maintaining a drug house, party to the crime of possession of narcotic drugs, party to the crime of possession of cocaine, and bail jumping. 44-year-old Christopher Johnson of Montfort, will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s Office with the recommendation that he be charged with possession of narcotic drugs, and possession of cocaine. This case remains open pending further investigation. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office also noted that these investigations are not related to the investigation into the death of Addison Colomer.
