The Wisconsin State Patrol will have some extra eyes in the skies around the state this week, including in counties in south-central Wisconsin. Aerial enforcement is planned for I-90/94 in Monroe County on Wednesday and U.S. Highway 18/151 in Iowa County on Friday, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced. Troopers in a plane will monitor for aggressive and speeding drivers and will then radio to troopers on the ground to pull those drivers over. The State Patrol said the goal isn’t to stop drivers, but to encourage voluntary compliance with traffic laws.
