City Administrator David Carlson says that Lancaster is now in the Final Countdown to achieve a full grant from the Lancaster Community Fund for its new pool through fundraising efforts by private individuals. In a release, Carlson said the city needs about $25-thousand dollars more to receive the full match amount from the Charles “Sonny” Tiedemann Charitable Endowment – which is more than $94-thousand dollars in a gift to the city. Donations will go towards additional improvements at the pool – scheduled to be complete by June 10th. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at City Hall, 206 South Madison Street, Lancaster, Wisconsin 53813. Make checks payable to the City of Lancaster, with Pool Donation written in the memo.
