For the 30th straight year volunteers are counting eagles at nine different locations along the Wisconsin River. Two weeks ago more than 70 eagles were counted near the Lone Rock roost. Last year was a record-setter. The volunteers do this work every year from December to February. Like every other year, organizers say they are in need of more volunteers. The information is shared with the Department of Natural Resources.
