A person wearing a mask attempted to rob a restaurant in Mt. Horeb on Tuesday night. The Mt. Horeb Police Department said that officers responded about 6:30 to a McDonald’s on Perimeter Road for a report of an attempted robbery. Employees told police the would-be robber came in the store and demanded they open the cash drawers. Police said the employees didn’t do what the robber asked, and he left the store empty-handed. A police K-9 team attempted to track the suspect – but wasn’t successful. The person is a white male, between 5’10 and 6’2. He was wearing ski goggles, a red bandanna over his face and black jacket. Those with information should call police at 608 – 437 – 5522.
